Generally 30 or so people attend a patio party. That's a lot of food to prepare! 

If you can help take the pressure off the host by bringing 10 servings of something it will be appreciated. Some ideas are: baked beans, chips, spinach salad, watermelon slices, etc.

Many hands make lite work! Can you thank people for hosting by volunteering to help? 

Set-up helpers may set-up tables and chairs, make pitchers of lemonade or water, organize the side dish and dessert tables,  and generally be helpful where the host needs it. 

Clean-up helpers may be asked to help rinse and put away clean dishes, wipe down and put away table cloths, tables, and chairs, take trash to dumpsters, and generally be helpful where needed.
